And so we begin…
Welcome to the 2012-2013 academic year. And to the annual August Teaching Enrichment Series workshops that bring together the energies, expertise, insights and questions of faculty, instructors, post doctoral fellows and graduate students who will enter classrooms next week as teachers.
The 2012 August Teaching Enrichment Series runs on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28th and 29th. Concurrent workshops will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We’ve created two routes to learning more about the workshops:
- Narrative descriptions of the sessions written by facilitators as spring semester ended are featured on the Center’s webpage.
- Visual and narrative previews of the session created by facilitators just this month are collected together as in PowerPoint previews and housed at MyU, a UMinn “in the clouds” platform with public page options so you can access files without first joining up or having a UMinn specific password. You will need to download the slides in order to view the notes field, in which facilitators describing their sessions generally and offer one idea you can use tomorrow:
And, no worries if you want to attend the workshops but haven’t yet registered – walk in attendance is something we expect and enjoy. One additional logistical note, for those who would like to participate in some sessions but are unable to attend in person, several of the workshops will be broadcast via UM Connect – and to gain access to those sessions in simulcast, you will need to register. The 2012 August Teaching Enrichment Series poster details which sessions are available through UM Connect and how to register.
